Hello!

So it has been a while now since I started my new workout routine. I am noticing a difference. Which is a good thing, now if i only could get the diet part of it down. I am not good at watching what I eat, actually I am really good at watching what I am eating it is just that what I am watching is bacony, fried goodness most of the time. I need to stop it. Oh well it's getting better little by little. I can figure it out. I have to.

New workout plan for Husky Runner

So I have recently joined LA Fitness, and so far... I love it! With my membership I got a free fitness evaluation, and I found out that even though I have been running for the past year basically, I am not that fit. I can't imagine what I was like before I started running. I also found out why I am not losing more weight. I was only working on the cardio, and not really the lean muscle. So I have a new plan, cardio and the Push, pull, legs workout with weights. So far I can feel the difference, and although I am sore from lifting once and a while, I am not as sore in general from just being fat. :) Oh well. I also have made some other changes in my life, I realized that after selling my house... finally, I thought I would be less stressed out and happy. I was wrong, I was the exact opposite and I started to become depressed and have severe anxiety and panic attacks. I decided it was time to do something about it. I figure I am trying to get my body right, I may as well get my brain right too. This is something I have been fighting since my Dad passed a few years ago, and this is about the time of the year that he started to notice he wasn't right. So the thought of not having my own home for now and other stuff really fucked me up for a few days.

I realized that the only times I am truely happy and carefree are when I am around my wife and daughter. So all the other times, I need a little something to keep me going. That said, I have been on it for a week now, and it is like night and day! I feel better and I am not worried about the small things. I am still hoping that someday sooner than later we have our own place again, but who knows when that will happen, we have a nice place to rent right now from my mother in law and I am greatful for that. So until next time.

Husky Runner meets with a personal trainer

So I took a fitness assesment today with a personal trainer and talked about my goals for working out and fitness. I figured out that I am really working out incorrectly and that is the reason I have not lost a lot of weight and continue to have minor but bothersome injuries. Of course, I am not planning on paying for the trainer because 50 a session is a little too rich for me. Oh well, I got a lot of really good tips and a great starting point on what needs to be done. Hopefully in a few months I start to see some results. I am excited to see what I can do with a little direction in my workouts. I will keep you posted and let you know if I am getting closer to my goals. Also, any encouragement you can throw my way helps. I know it sounds stupid but it is harder to stay motivated when it seems like no one cares. I appreciate any and all encouragement, it helps so much.

Motivationally challenged Husky runner.

WOW! It has been a while since I last poseted anything. I seemed to have lost any motivation to work out for a few weeks. I don't know why, but I had so much other stuff going on with the sale of my house, moving and a sick child for basically all of Janurary, that I just had to put something aside since I have horrible planning skills. But I have since joined a new workout club, LA Fitness and I love it, it has better equipment and free classes. So I will be checking in a lot more in the coming days and I hope to hear from some friends to help keep me motivated to workout and better myself. Thanks for all the patience as I get stuff in order and start a new chapter.
